Waitangi Day is the day that brought peace between Maori and Pakeha. Maori and Pakeha Probably wanted to stop war, so the Pakeha wrote a Treaty for both sides to sign. Lately the Waitangi treaty hasn't been honored the government is trying to sell Maori dams to Foreigners. When it states on the treaty that the government isn’t allowed to sell land owned by Maori.
My family was going to Bastion Point to celebrate Waitangi day, I didn’t want to go because i knew it was going to be steaming hot. Me and my brother Caine went to the lagoon pools instead with his mates. I walked into the entrance to the pools and I smelt the chlorine I was keen to jump in to the pool. My brother told me “eah hurry up and jump in like you said you would”, So I took of my shirt and jandals and jumped in.
