Camp Concert.

My group was team Respect and my leaders were Cruz and Seni-Mino. We had our camp concert at our school hall it was the perfect place to have it. It was very cramped in there and it was starting to get very hot. The hall wasn’t that magnificent but it had to do. First we played some movies from the school projector.

The atmosphere of the concert was really nerve-wracking. I was really hoping that I would not get embarrassed. Then believe it or not my group was up first, I really hoped that I would not go up first. My body was tense and I just couldn’t relax.  When I went up on the stage I felt a shiver down my back.

Our performance involved the boys doing some girl poses to a song called ‘Superstar’ by Britney Spears. My first girl pose was that I would flick my hair like a girl. But what was really embarrassing was that I did a kiss to the crowd and just before I did it the song finished. It was scary. In the end we came fourth place.

Morning Of Camp Day 2

I had a bad night sleep I was very uncomfortable and I went to sleep late. I only wish that I had went to sleep a lot earlier and not keep talking to my friends in my tent. We got up very early at about seven o’clock. We had to get up and do a bit of jump jam.

After Jump Jam we got our cutlery ready for breakfast, we were having cereal and hot foods. Rice bubbles are one of my favourite cereals. After that I had a bit of Baked Beans on toast., it was nice it really fulled me up.

Camp Day 1.

Our first day of camp has just arrived my team is the Respect crew our leaders are Cruz and Seni-Mino, the first activity that we did was the box fit. The trainers were from the a boxing club. We had to do some warm ups then we got straight into a bit of boxing practise. First we had to pair up with someone and they would grab some punching mitts and you would practise some punches.

Then we moved on to our next activity it was playing old school games with Mr Harris. After we had morning tea we played our first game, you had to pop someones balloon that they had tied around their ankle. The next game was Captain Ship it is very hard to play there is a lot of instructions.

Amazing race was our last activity we had to go all around Point England and get all the clues back to the meeting spot. When we brought all the clues back we fried a egg and we had to eat it. My group stuffed it up,Cruz didn’t crack the egg properly on the tin so it just fell off. but we just put it back on the tin and cooked it.

I can’t wait for day 2.

Picnic.

I love going to picnics. My school,Pt England is going to have it’s start of the year picnic. The Pt England reserve is the place that we all ways have it, there’s even a beach by it. Me and my friends have been waiting for the picnic to come and now it’s here.

The weather didn’t really look like it was going to be a sunny day, there was some little showers of rain then it started to clear up a bit and finally the sun came out from the clouds. I cheered with happiness. Then everyone started to walk down to the reserve, it only takes five minutes to get there so that was good for me.

When we got there we had to sit down on the soggy grass it wasn’t really what I wanted to do but we had to. Mr Burt started telling us the safety rules and where everything was. After we knew all the rules we could go and play, lots of kids screamed with excitement. I started playing Softball, because I wanted to practise some skills because I’m in the school boys Softball team.

We were playing against the year 7 girls Softball team they weren’t that good. Their pitcher pitched some very slow balls so we hit them far and high it was really fun. But then they started to get some strikes on us and then before you know it, it was side away. It was our turn to field. Our team were having a hard time getting our pitches right and our catching  was very off.

I had played Softball for about four hours and it was getting kind of boring, so I had some lunch and then went for a walk on the beach to make clay bombs with my two mates Darius and Kingston. Making clay bombs is really easy. You have to find a rock that has of clay on it and take a little of it and roll it into a ball. Dipping it in water makes it get really sticky so it will be good for the final stage putting sand over it.

Then we had to go back to school to get ready to go home. At the end of the day I was really exhausted and I wanted to have a rest at home.I enjoyed the picnic and I can’t wait until we have another one.
